If you haven’t yet gathered this, I think kids are amazing. And last night that thought was compounded and solidified by the absolutely delightful kids I got to hang out with! Brooke (3rd grade) and Trent (1st grade) blew me away with their humor, their intelligence, and their willingness to hold each other’s hands. Seriously. Try that with a 3 and 5 year old… NOT GONNA HAPPEN. But these two giggled and nodded and happily loved on their fantastic parents, Alisha + David, while we spent an hour running around Hoover Dam (the Westerville version, not Nevada) as the setting sun ignited the autumn leaves in the most beautiful light.

Every time I pull up the long, gravel drive approaching Jen + Adam’s country home, I’m enveloped in the unmistakable peace you only ever experience in open spaces. Open, but not empty. This place is full of love. And freedom. It’s truly magical to see Melissa & Page squeal with delight as they run through the corn and into their parents’ arms. Truth be told, I’d be a happy girl if I never had to leave!

Remember this adorable family?

I thought you might! This much cuteness just grabs your heart and won’t let go. Sweet Audrey (who has the sweetest little voice I’ve ever heard) and Miss Charlotte spent the morning with me doin’ some snuggling, some laughing, and a little bit of picture-takin’ (and mom and dad joined in the fun, too). Watching these sisters grow up is a marvelous joy… one that I will keep with me for a very, very long time!

Ryan + Christina = Graham + Gia

Remember this adorable family? They’re hard to forget, especially for me! Since the day I met Graham (and later, Gia), I’ve been enchanted but these sweet, creative, and crazy-smart kids. I can’t believe it’s been six month since precious Gia was welcomed into the world! We met this time at the same park we visited nearly a year ago (but this time the weather was a little more cooperative), and spent a good hour running through the grass, jumping up and down to get little Gia to smile for us, and generally having a fantastic time! Let’s do this again soon, okay? Okay!
