Oh, the love! Oh, the laughter! Oh, the fun! These guys are some of my favorite people ever, little ones and grown-ups alike. I met this sweet family in Uptown Westerville for a long-overdue family shoot, and because we were going for a “kids running around in a small town urban setting”, they brought along their fab friend Lauren to get the kiddos to giggle AND to make sure nobody got hit by a car in those narrow alleys! The best thing about this family is that every member is so different, but they love each other immeasurably. Even 3-year-old Cyrus gladly hugs his little sister Eisley and baby bro Ezekiel whenever he gets the chance. How sweet is that? If only every moment was as harmonious…
You’ll see lots of rambunctious images in this lot, and my favorites are the ones that represent the chaos of young families- ’cause in that chaos, I see nothing but the give and take of unconditional love.
And, my dear Lauren, I just want you to remember… It ain’t about how fast you get there. Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side. It’s the climb.
