Bizzy + Mark

Meet Bizzy, Mark and Elijah.

Now, meet their wild side!

Bizzy + Mark had the most laid-back, chill party to celebrate their marriage! Baby Elijah joined in the festivities and even partied late into the night (well, late as babies go, which was like 7pm).  Surrounded by good friends and great family, Bizzy + Mark promised to make the moments ahead even better than the past, and if the uber-dancing at their reception wasn’t proof enough of that, I don’t know what could be!

Update on Josh Gulvas

Just received word that Josh has gone to be with the Lord. His body was recovered. Please don’t stop praying, though. I don’t know why God chose to take Josh, and I don’t know what to say to those who feel like God isn’t good right now. All I can think to do is keep asking for mercy on his family, friends, and everyone who ever met him. His is already so sorely missed. He was a bright light in a dark world. Thankfully, I can still see that light, even from Heaven.

A Request

This blog is for everyone, and all are always welcome here, but I do have a special request for those visitors who feel comfortable going before God in prayer when situations seem wildy out of control.

The Gulvas family are old friends of mine. They’re kind, humble, and most of all, steadfast in their faith, even in the most tragic circumstances. Tuesday, the unthinkable happened. While hiking in the Colorado wilderness, 21-year-old Josh Gulvas hiked a parallel trail to his dad, Rand, but never arrived at their rendezvous location. A massive search has been going on for two days now, and the rescue team has been narrowing down Josh’s location, but as far as we know, haven’t been able to find him. Read this article for more information:

Please pray for Josh’s safe return and for those who are eagerly awaiting him. He is well-loved, so there are many, many people who are missing him dearly right now.

Becky + Ryan

Meet Becky + Ryan.

35

When I first got a call from the lovely and talented event planner Sylvia Harris Douglas, I knew I had to be a part of Becky + Ryan’s sweet, relaxed, and most-of-all FUN wedding! Held on Becky’s grandparents’ estate just outside of Columbus, the event was meticulously planned, but so laid-back that the day flowed seamlessly from one beautiful scene to the next.

But the most beauty could be found in the tangible spark between Becky + Ryan. Such opposites, but so perfectly matched. Ryan is methodical and precise. Becky is wild and full of energy. But, put ‘em together and you get a bride and a groom, dressed to the nines, jumping to the tree tops on a trampoline.  I can’t help but think that simple children’s game is a fitting metaphor for these two. Just as the force of one jumper sends the other higher into the air, the insatiable passion and power of both Becky + Ryan’s love propels the other to such unimaginable heights. I can’t wait to see how high they go!
