Libby + Mike

Remember Libby + Mike?

30

Libby tells it like it is. Mike is a good listener. Libby looks pretty all the time. Mike likes looking at Libby. Libby only drinks Pepsi. Mike’s favorite beverage is Diet Coke. Libby works hard, but parties harder. Mike rolls along right beside her. Libby loves Sophie. Mike loves Sophie, too, but not as much as Libby does ’cause that would be impossible, even though Mike loves her, like, a lot. Libby was calm and beautiful and savored every moment of her wedding day. Mike smiled like a little boy when he saw his bride coming down the aisle. Libby shed a few tears of nostalgic joy. Mike put his arm around her as she wiped away her tears.

If I had to choose one word to describe these wonderful, gracious friends (beside wonderful and gracious, of course), it would be… um… superbad? No. Stay-classy-German-Village? Uh-uh. MmmBop? Maybe. Wait, I got it. Fierce.

So, as I was trying to choose which images from Libby + Mike’s wedding to whet your whistle with,  I was totally stumped. At one point, I had almost 40 full-size pictures in this post! I had to reassess. Here’s one more of my favorites, then it’s up to you to click through all those beautiful, perfect little thumbnail previews.

Seriously, everyone. You must look through EVERY SINGLE ONE of these adorable images. If you’re following via an RSS reader, just click on over to the website and go through them that way. It’s soo worth it. I promise you. Every detail of Libby + Mike’s day was charming and sweet and just plain fun. Won’t regret it. Scout’s honor.

RSS FAIL!

I went to an amazing wedding this week (at which I was a GUEST [FTW!]) where an old friend of mine told me he follows my blog through an RSS reader. After the 3-4 hour processing time my brain normally takes to synthesize information (you could watch any film in the Lord of the Rings trilogy in that time span), it occurred to me that my bright “click on the little thumbnail and a sweet javascript lightbox thing pops up” idea wasn’t so bright. Sorry to all of you have been enduring teeny tiny pictures for the past few weeks.

For everyone else out there who is smarter than me (which is probably all of you), any idea how to get the RSS feed to show the full-size images?

Note one: “RSS FAIL!” is a reference to one of my favorite websites: http://failblog.org/ Read it. Love it. Subscribe to it. Never end up starring in it.

Note two: “FTW” = For the Win! Sometimes I talk text, even though I don’t really text that much.

Because every post is better with a picture, here’s a little sneak peek from Sam + Mike’s wedding. Fancy pants, eh?

Stopping Time

On the front end of July, my BFF Garth and I picked up Aasta, John, and Sarah (who flew in from NYC) in DC and headed down to Williamsburg, VA for the Heasley family reunion!

Being a Heasley-family transplant, and I met of lot of my new family for the first time during those few days, and it still amazes me how fast a person can grow to love people they’ve just met. Here are a few photos from our time together.

If you’re were at the reunion and are interested in downloading all of my photos from the event, click here to start the download.

P.S. Aasta + John, don’t be mad at me for posting your “prom pictures” on the internet. You guys are so cute, how could I really resist?
