This weekend the family headed up to Sandusky, Ohio (a la Tommy Boy) to rock the roller coasters at Cedar Point! We rode their newest ride, Maverick, and I have to give serious props to Garth and Ade for not slapping me upside the head every time I said “Maverick” in my appallingly inaccurate Sarah Palin voice. Tina Fey does it better. I mean, WAAAAAY better.
There was also some down time on our little vacation, during which my dad and I brought true art into the world:
When I was just a little person, in lieu of coloring books, my dad would pull out some typing paper and a Sharpie and sketch out an aptly-themed scene for me to color in. As you can see, it’s like riding a bike- he never forgets how to rock that Sharpie. Notice the deck and pergola adjacent to the haunted house. That was Garth’s mocking, cynical, and hysterically funny contribution to our artwork.
Don’t worry, now that I’m back in town, I’m hard at work editing tons of super-fun fall sessions. Check back soon (or even add me to your RSS reader!) for some slightly more grown-up images.
