Big News!

Hello, happy blog readers! I’m here to announce a super-special opportunity, so pay attention!

As many of you know, Kelly Heasley Photography is about to undergo a seriously major overhaul that will make it much more user friendly AND even more fun! I know, I know – seems impossible, right?

Well, one of the many new changes I’ll be announcing over the next few weeks is a dramatic revamping of our pricing structure. As a gesture of most sincere gratitude to all of you who believed in me over these past two years and let me share such beautiful, hilarious, heartfelt moments with you, I thought it would be fun to offer you (and anyone you think would be interested) the opportunity to book a 2010 session at 2009 prices! The new pricing structure won’t be released until the new year, but the math works out to over $500 in savings, apples for apples! Even better, you can book as many 2010 sessions as you like at this price! Planning on having a birthday session, AND a holiday session? No problem! You can have them both at this year’s rate!

RSS FAIL!

I went to an amazing wedding this week (at which I was a GUEST [FTW!]) where an old friend of mine told me he follows my blog through an RSS reader. After the 3-4 hour processing time my brain normally takes to synthesize information (you could watch any film in the Lord of the Rings trilogy in that time span), it occurred to me that my bright “click on the little thumbnail and a sweet javascript lightbox thing pops up” idea wasn’t so bright. Sorry to all of you have been enduring teeny tiny pictures for the past few weeks.

For everyone else out there who is smarter than me (which is probably all of you), any idea how to get the RSS feed to show the full-size images? 

Note one: “RSS FAIL!” is a reference to one of my favorite websites: http://failblog.org/ Read it. Love it. Subscribe to it. Never end up starring in it.

Note two: “FTW” = For the Win! Sometimes I talk text, even though I don’t really text that much.

Blinking File Folder of Death

So, I turned my computer on last night to work on editing Talia and Adam’s AMAZING wedding, and I saw this:

First things first – I have all my data backed up – TWICE, so if you’re one of my stupendous clients (like Talia and Adam), have no fear. Your images are safe and sound!

So, why the blog post about it? Because I’m totally annoyed, that’s why!!!!! My friend Eric has graciously agreed to use his geek skills to confirm that the hard drive really is dead as a doornail, but then I’ll have to order a new one, and then I’ll have to install it, and then I’ll have to restore it with time machine, and it’s seriously setting me behind by like 4 or 5 days AT BEST. Which wouldn’t be so bad except that THIS IS THE BUSIEST TIME OF THE YEAR! And I have 4 portrait sessions alone this weekend and 2 weddings next weekend!

Ugh!
