Anne + Chris = Jack

Meet Anne, Chris + Jack!

13

How do I get so lucky? I’ve long felt that someone is playing a practical joke one me – sending me only the most sweet, fun-loving, kind and GORGEOUS people to photograph. If that’s the case, Anne, Chris and little Jack were certainly in on the fun! I met them for a romp in the snow and a little bit of goofing around at their charming home. When I knocked on the door, I was promptly greeted by big, jumping pups (which is the BEST way to start a session – honestly! I LOVE animals!) and the warmest smiles I’ve ever seen in such cold weather!

Anne and Chris are the kind of people who aren’t afraid to sit back and savor the beauty in their life. With a patience I’ve only seen in nuns, these two watch over their adorable son Jack. But they don’t just observe – they’re not even a teeny bit afraid to get in the action, even if it means we’ll be rolling around in the snow where doggy doody is hard to spot! They just wanted me to see who they are as a family and freeze these moments of their lives with honesty and positivity. Everything else was just icing on the cake!

Mike + Mallory = Faith & Kevin + McKenzie = Kegan

Meet Faith and Kegan!

31

Ooooo – such chubby cheeks! MUST….. SQUEEZE….. THEM!

I am compelled to tell the truth, however silly it may be – getting together with Mike, Mallory, Faith, Kevin, McKenzie, and Kegan was more like a party than work for me! Even when little Faith wanted to march to the beat of her own drummer, we kept on smiling and enjoying the last little rays of sunshine that chilly winter day had to offer.

John + Anna = Caden

Meet John, Anna and Caden!

01

SUPERAWESOMECUTENESSOVERLOAD!!!!!!!

The literal moment I met John, Anna, and Caden, I was smitten. In love with their love. In love with the way they laugh at each other. In love with the way they play and explore without much concern about what’s proper or easy. Caden wanted a drink, but he’d only have it out of Anna’s cup. Like a big boy! So, with motherly wisdom that can sense what’s about to happen but allows it anyway, Anna gave Caden the cup. He touched it to his lips and threw his head back. Anna just cracked up when the water poured down Caden’s face and shirt and puddled on the floor. And John laughed at Anna who was laughing at Caden who was laughing at himself. Perfection. :)

The Bartley Family

Meet the Bartleys!

01

Don’t get all excited, ye so numerous blog readers; I’m not going to start working on holidays. The Bartleys are long-time friends, and so when their amazingly talented, diverse and adventurous family finally all ended up in the same city on Thanksgiving Day, I HAD to run over before my turkey dinner to snap a few photos. Unless your family consists of writers, pastors, musicians, professors, philosophers, philanthropists, and all-around amazing human beings, you’ll be hard pressed to pull me away from my mom’s pumpkin pie!
